How we curate

Fabrics we love

Breatheable, natural fabrics we include in our curation:

  • Cotton (especially lightweight/breathable weaves)
  • Linen (highly breathable, dries quickly)

  • Wool (naturally moisture-wicking, temperature-regulating)

  • Merino wool (naturally moisture-wicking, temperature-regulating)

  • Cashmere (breathable, soft, temperature-regulating)

  • Bamboo (soft, breathable)

  • Tencel/Lyocell (moisture-wicking, sustainable, silky feel)

Ok in moderation (depends on blend/context):

  • Viscose (can be breathable but less so than naturals)

  • Modal (similar to Tencel)

  • Performance synthetics (e.g., athletic polyester blends designed to wick moisture - these can work for activewear)

  • Small % polyester/elastane for stretch in otherwise natural fabrics (e.g., 95% cotton, 5% elastane)

Fabrics we avoid

  • Polyester (traps heat and moisture, smells quickly)

  • Nylon (similar issues to polyester)

  • Acrylic (synthetic, non-breathable)

  • Silk (due to high visibility of moist)

  • Heavy/thick fabrics that don't allow airflow

Colours & Patterns

What works well:

  • Black

  • Navy/dark colors (charcoal, deep burgundy, forest green)

  • White

  • Bold patterns (florals, prints, busy designs distract from any marks)

  • Heathered/marled fabrics

  • Lace (texture and pattern naturally disguise moisture)

What we avoid (depending on the fabric and context):

  • Grey

  • Light blue, khaki

  • Pastel solids
